Manchester United full-back Antonio Valencia faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a fractured arm in the win over Manchester City.
Valencia made it through the entire 90 minutes of the EFL Cup fourth round clash, which United won 1-0, but the injury has since been diagnosed and he will undergo surgery on Saturday.
The 31-year-old had made 11 appearances for United this season in all competitions, but the injury gives Matteo Darmian a chance of a run in the team.
Italy international Darmian has only played twice so far this season, both of his appearances coming in the Europa League, and he was named in Jose Mourinho's starting XI for the Premier League game with Burnley.
Mourinho was also without Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly for the Clarets match, and he said: "They were the three players that start almost every match in the Premier League and now we lose all three in the same period.
"But that's football and it's an opportunity for others to play. We trust Darmian and we trust Marcos Rojo to have a positive influence."
