Matteo Darmian admits top four is the minimum requirement for Manchester United this season, but says they have a big chance of reaching it.

United are a point behind fourth-place Manchester City with seven games remaining, but travel to title-chasing Tottenham on Super Sunday.

In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Italian defender Darmian says the pressure is high at Old Trafford, but with two wins from their last two in the league, they are confident of qualifying for the Champions League.

"I think Manchester United is the biggest club in the world so there is a lot of pressure. They expect that we win all the games.

"Now we want to be in the top four at the end of the season. We have a big chance to win the FA Cup, so we want to improve and work, and if possible win a trophy.

"Yes of course [top four is minimum requirement]. We want to be in the top four at the end of the season and the club works for this.

"If we work hard we have a big chance. We won the last two games so we want to continue on this way."

Darmian arrived at United on a four-year deal from Torino in the summer for an undisclosed fee reported to be £12.7m.

The 25-year-old has 35 appearances in all competitions for the club this season, and says the main difference between Premier League and Serie A is the physicality and tactics used.

"I love the Premier League, and I want to stay here for a long time.

"There is a lot of difference because this is a big club, and from Serie A there are a lot of differences.

"The Premier League is more physical and less tactical, this is the most important difference, but I think it is the best championship in the world, so I love it.

"They play very fast and strong, and I have to adapt to this kind of football, but I want to improve myself.

"My team-mates help me to feel comfortable, and the staff are the same, so for me it was easy [to adapt]."
