West Brom and Watford are interested in signing Andros Townsend from Tottenham, according to Sky sources.

The England winger is out of the first-team picture at White Hart Lane and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is happy to let him go.

He has not played since the Europa League match with Anderlecht on October 22, and he fell further out of favour when he had an argument on the pitch with fitness coach Nathan Gardiner after the victory over Aston Villa at the start of November.

Spurs want a permanent deal rather than a loan and will demand a fee in the region of £10m for the 24-year-old.

West Brom and Watford have made enquiries, and Townsend is doing his best to stay match-fit ahead of any deal.

He volunteered to play for the U21s on Monday night and set up Spurs' goal in the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.
