With five days remaining until the start of the Premier League we look at which players have made Sir Ian Botham's Sky Sports Fantasy Football team.

We'll also be revealing the sides for each of the Soccer Saturday pundits over the course of the week, including Phil Thompson's XI on Tuesday.

Here's what England cricket legend Beefy has to say about his Sky Sports Fantasy Football line-up:

There aren’t too many cheap goalkeepers out there, and you want someone who is not going to get absolutely hammered every weekend. I’m torn between Jack Butland or Ben Foster. I’ll go for Foster because of Tony Pulis at West Brom.

I think Luke Shaw is going to have a big year this year after being injured for most of last season, while another Englishman, Gary Cahill, is expensive but is as good a centre-back as anyone around. Lining up alongside John Terry in that Chelsea defence, he is going to be my captain too.

Making up my defensive trident is Martin Skrtel. You’ve got to spend some money on defenders. You need two decent centre-backs and Skrtel is always there or thereabouts for Liverpool.

I think Theo Walcott this year will have a big year for Arsenal because he will play more, while his team-mate Mesut Ozil can play on the left for my side. He will play a lot for the Gunners too, and is starting to come into his own. Saving me a bit of budget is Kevin Nolan, who normally pitches in with a fair few goals, if he stays fit, and Gary O'Neil .

I like this lad Christian Benteke. He is going to score goals for Liverpool because he will get much better service than he got at Aston Villa. I’d like an England name in there. Can Harry Kane have another year like last year? Will Danny Welbeck play? Will Andy Carroll be fit? I’m going to go for an older boy up there, Jermain Defoe.

He’s a good bet, if he keeps himself fit. I’m tempted to pick ex-Scunthorpe boy, Gary Hooper. He scores goals – just look at his record for Celtic – but is he going to play? I’m going to wait to see if he starts though, and take Steven Fletcher for now.
