Tottenham and Chelsea Power Rankings combined XI

Image: Diego Costa and Jan Vertonghen both make the cut in our combined XI

Before Tottenham's clash with Chelsea at White Hart Lane, we pick a combined XI based on the top-performing players in the Sky Sports Power Rankings.

Chelsea will be aiming for a record-breaking 14th consecutive Premier League win in Wednesday's game, so it's no surprise that they dominate our XI with seven players to Tottenham's four.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is one of them, edging out his opposite number Hugo Lloris, having helped Chelsea keep 11 clean sheets in their first 19 games of the campaign.

Tottenham's Kyle Walker makes the cut at right-back having contributed more assists (four) than any other Premier League defender, and he is joined in the back four by Cesar Azpilicueta, Jan Vertonghen and Marcos Alonso.

In the holding role, it's no surprise to see N'Golo Kante take his place in the team. The irrepressible Frenchman has picked up where he left off with Leicester last season, starting all but one of Chelsea's 19 games and dominating the midfield on a consistent basis.

Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen occupy the more advanced central midfield positions having scored or assisted 10 and nine goals respectively.

They are flanked by Pedro, who has scored four goals and claimed five assists in 16 appearances for Chelsea, and the inspirational Eden Hazard, who has nine goals and two assists.
