Premier League stats: The best Opta facts from Saturday's games

With the help of Opta, we round up the best Premier League facts and stats from Saturday's football.

West Ham United 3-3 Arsenal

Andy Carroll is the first Premier League player to score a hat-trick against Arsenal since Wayne Rooney in August 2011.

Carroll's hat-trick was the fastest in the Premier League this season at seven minutes and 14 seconds (between first and third goals).

The West Ham striker had 10 shots in the match (including blocks) - no player has had more in a Premier League game this season.

Mesut Ozil has scored six times for Arsenal this season, his best return in a Premier League season for the club.

Aston Villa have made more errors leading to goals than any other side in the Premier League this season (14).

Steve Cook has scored four Premier League goals this season - the only defender with more is Scott Dann (five).

Cook has scored three times in his last six Premier League games, having scored just once in his first 25 in the competition.

Joshua King has scored five times for Bournemouth this season - he managed just five league goals in three seasons in the Championship with Blackburn.

Jordan Ayew scored his first Premier League goal since December, ending a run of 10 games without scoring.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Norwich City

The Eagles became the final team in the top four tiers to secure a league win in 2016 (D3 L9).

Jason Puncheon has ended a run of 26 Premier League games without scoring.

Norwich have kept just one clean sheet in 17 away games this season in the Premier League.

Palace have won back-to-back top-flight league games against Palace for the first time since December 1989.

Norwich are winless in 15 away league games against Crystal Palace, last winning away to them in May 1996 (D5 L10).

Crystal Palace kept their first clean sheet in the league since December, ending a run of 12 games without one.

Southampton 3-1 Newcastle

Graziano Pelle has been directly involved in seven of Southampton's last eight Premier League goals (four goals, three assists).

Newcastle have lost their last nine away league games, their longest such run since between May and October 1977.
Ronald Koeman's side have won six of their last eight Premier League home games (D1 L1).

The Magpies have shipped at least two goals in seven of their last eight Premier League games against Southampton.

Shane Long scored his eighth Premier League goal of the season, equalling his best ever haul in the competition (also in 2011/12 and 2012/13 with West Brom).

Newcastle have conceded three or more goals in 10 Premier League games this season, a joint-league high with Aston Villa.

Chelsea suffered their first league defeat of the season under Guus Hiddink, after a run of 15 games without one. It was only his second loss in the Premier League (W17 D9).

Indeed, the Swans earned their first ever Premier League victory over the Blues in the 10th attempt (D3 L6).

Only Harry Kane (11) and Sergio Aguero (10) have scored more Premier League goals in 2016 than Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Swansea's last six home league games have produced just seven goals, with no side scoring more than once in any of those fixtures.

The Swans have won three consecutive Premier League home games for the first time since March 2013.

Chelsea have failed to win away from home when Asmir Begovic has played in the Premier League this season (D2 L5).

Everton haven't lost against Watford in 11 games against the Hornets in all competitions (W9 D2 L0), last losing to Watford in March 1987.

Watford's only clean sheet against Everton in any match came in their first meeting in August 1982 - they've since gone 21 matches without a shutout against the Toffees.

Everton have halted a losing streak of three Premier League games whereas the Hornets have stopped a run of four consecutive league losses.

José Holebas netted his first ever Premier League goal, his first league goal since November 2014 when scoring against Internazionale for Roma.

Ben Watson claimed his first Premier League assist since April 2012, when playing for Wigan against Chelsea.

Samir Nasri has scored four Premier League goals against West Brom, against no side has he scored more often (level with Spurs). It was the Frenchman's first goal in the league since August (v Everton).

City have won consecutive Premier League games for the first time since October.

No player has scored more Premier League goals in 2016 than Sergio Aguero (11, level with Harry Kane).

Stephane Sessegnon scored just his second goal in his last 42 Premier League games.

West Brom have had just four shots on target in their last four Premier League games, yet have scored with two of them.

Sergio Aguero has scored four times in four home league games against the Baggies.

Manchester City have won each of their last nine Premier League games against West Brom.

West Brom have enjoyed just one win in their last 11 Premier League away games (D5 L5).
