Barcelona officials will fly to England to finalise a deal to bring Liverpool attacker Philippe Coutinho to the Nou Camp as the club prepare their post-Neymar rebuild. (Mundo Deportivo)
Jose Mourinho has left the door ajar for Manchester United to make a sensational move for Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale. "If he doesn't play, I will fight with others who want to [sign him]," the Portuguese said. "If Bale is at the exit door, I would wait for him on the other side." Real Madrid could be tempted to cash in on Bale to help finance moves for Kylian Mbappe or Ousmane Dembele. The French pair are in the middle of a tug-of-war between Zidane's men and Barcelona. (Marca)
Roma have seen two bids rejected by Leicester City for Riyad Mahrez and are reluctant to put in a third. The Serie A side have instead turned their attentions the way of Real Madrid's Lucas Vazquez. Atletico Madrid have a challenge on their hands to keep Jan Oblak at the club. Negotiations over a new contract had been set to take place over the summer with the club hoping to improve his current deal which expires in 2021. Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be closely monitoring the Oblak situation. The Ligue 1 giants want to bring in an elite goalkeeper and the Slovenia international fits the bill. Julian Draxler has been linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes following the arrival of Neymar. But the German attacker does not intend to leave the French capital. Monaco have completed the signing of former Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal on a free transfer. Ghezzal was previously an Everton transfer target and Southampton were rumoured to be interested when Claude Puel was in charge of the club. Germany
Bayer Leverkusen are plotting a move for Olympiakos player Panagiotis Retsos. The Bundesliga club have put together a package worth €15m (£13.6m) and it includes a 20 per cent sell-on fee for the Greek side. Olympiakos are happy to sell the 18-year-old but only after their Champions League play-off match. (Kicker)
Bayern Munich have revealed they had the opportunity to sign Neymar in 2010 but the €24m (£21.7m) fee was too expensive for them. The Bavarians wanted the then 17-year-old to join from Santos but were reluctant to part with such a fee. (SportBild)
Hertha Berlin are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of their versatile full-back Felix Passlack. The highly-rated 19-year-old is a player BVB would consider letting go and the capital club are looking to take full advantage. (Kicker)
Eintracht Frankfurt's goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky is a transfer target for Benfica and the Portuguese champions want to get the deal done over the coming days. Hradecky is said to be valued at between €5m to €8m (4.5m-7.2m), a fee Benfica would have no problem paying. (Kicker)

The deal to bring Liverpool's Emre Can to Juventus looked to be dead but the Serie A champions are to try again after setbacks in their pursuits of Blaise Matuidi and Steven N'Zonzi. Inter Milan will follow up the signing of Dalbert by battling Manchester United and Chelsea for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier.
