Salford City sign long-term shirt sponsorship deal with Soccer Saturday's Super 6 game

Soccer Saturday Super 6 has signed a new long-term deal to become the shirt sponsor of National League North side Salford City FC

Free-to-play prediction game Soccer Saturday Super 6 has struck a new long-term deal to become the shirt sponsor of Salford City FC.

The National League North club, which recently announced that its players and management will go full-time, has enjoyed a rapid rise since being taken over by several members of Manchester United's 'Class of '92' - including Sky Sports' Gary Neville - at the beginning of the 2014/15 season.

Salford narrowly missed out on promotion into the National League last season after a play-off defeat to Halifax Town but had previously achieved back-to-back promotions to edge closer to their dream of a place in the Sky Bet EFL.

Stadium plans which were given the green light by the council in December 2016 are currently being brought to life, with Moor Lane set to boast four covered stands and a 500-capacity social club.

Hailing the new deal, co-owner and former United captain Gary Neville said: "It's fantastic for the club. A few years ago when we came into Salford we recognised we wanted to try and align ourselves with fantastic partners and everyone knows Super 6, they're very prominent on the Soccer Saturday show we all love.

Super 6 spokesman Edwin Martin said: "We're absolutely delighted to be linking up with Salford City at such an important part of their journey.

"We are looking forward to a long and successful relationship between Super 6 and Salford City."
