Chelsea can put the Premier League title race to bed with victory at Liverpool, according to Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph.
The runaway leaders hold an eight-point lead over their title rivals ahead of a potentially defining set of fixtures.
Antonio Conte takes his men to Anfield on Tuesday, where victory would see them move 13 points clear of the Liverpool, before hosting Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 1 HD.
But, speaking on the Sunday Supplement, Law insisted victory on Merseyside would create an insurmountable lead for the Blues.
"If they were to win at Anfield the title race is 100 per cent over," he said.
"I personally think if Chelsea can just avoid defeat against both Liverpool and Arsenal, they'll probably be pretty much done with their eight-point lead.
"A month or so ago you'd have really struggled to think Chelsea would go to Anfield as favourites, despite their brilliant form.
"And yet, they go there now at what looks like the perfect time for them. They may have been going there a month or so ago thinking 'just avoid defeat'.
"I'd have thought they're going there saying 'let's go and win this' and that's probably wraps it all up for them."
Chelsea's healthy position ahead of Tuesday's game is a testament to Conte's seamless adaptation to life in the Premier League.
More reserved than his counterparts, Oliver Holt of the Daily Mail believes the time has come for Conte to receive the recognition his stunning debut season in English football deserves.
"Before the season started, most of us were obsessing about [Pep] Guardiola, [Jose] Mourinho and Klopp and actually, Conte has just been so impressive on and off the pitch," Holt added.
"He's had an unbelievable impact on Chelsea. You talk about Liverpool coming from a long way back but what Conte's done in terms of bringing Chelsea forward and restoring order and motivation for Chelsea's players, he's just done an unbelievable job.
"He's getting plenty of credit but, in some ways, I don't think he's getting quite the amount of credit he deserves."
