Former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has joined Indian Super League side FC Pune City.
The ex-Valencia and Paris Saint German midfielder joins Pune as a replacement for marquee signing Eidur Gudjohnsen, who was ruled out of the ISL with an ankle injury.
Sissoko, 31, is the youngest marquee player in the third edition of the ISL, which kicked off on Saturday and runs until December.
The Mali international spent two weeks on trial with West Brom last month and had been hoping to seal a move to the Premier League after failing to secure a deal with The Baggies.
Sissoko joined Liverpool in 2005, making 87 appearances for the club before joining Juventus in 2008.
The midfielder, who suffered a horrific eye injury in Liverpool's Champions League clash with Benfica in 2006, joins Pune as a free agent after a short stint with Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.
