Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen could be set to miss his side's Champions League clash with Celtic next week after picking up a hamstring injury.

Spanish media reported the German international picked up the problem in training on Friday, and could be set to miss three matches, starting with the game against Alaves, which is live on Sky Sports 2 HD on Saturday.

He could also be missing for the trip to Leganes on September 17, with the media reports saying he is hopeful of being fit in time for the La Liga showdown with Atletico Madrid on September 21.

Ter Stegen's injury should mean a debut for Dutch goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen against Alaves at the Nou Camp.

Cillessen arrived from Ajax last month to replace Claudio Bravo after the Chilean moved to join former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

A previous knee injury to Ter Stegen delayed completion of that deal as Barca manager Luis Enrique wanted a recognised goalkeeper for the start of the Catalan side's La Liga campaign.
