Jon Driscoll is joined by Terry Gibson to discuss Julen Lopetegui's debut as Spain manager on this week's La Liga Weekly Podcast.
Plus, with Premier League clubs breaking the £1bn barrier during the transfer window, Gibson provides his squad of 18 La Liga players totalling less than £10m that he says could survive in the Premier League.
On Lopetegui's first match in charge of the national team - a 2-0 victory over Belgium on Thursday - Gibson said: "It was brilliant. I wasn't expecting much against fierce opposition away from home. It was a flashback to four years ago when they were at their best.
"It was a similar team and there were no drastic changes from Lopetegui [in terms of team selection], but the big change was in the tenacity of how they wanted to win the ball back quickly.
"As a result, possession was totally dominated by Spain, with an end product, and it should have been more than the 2-0 scoreline."
