Crystal Palace goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is of interest to Hull as a potential replacement for the injured Allan McGregor, according to Sky sources.
McCarthy is now one of four top goalkeepers at Palace following the arrival of Steve Mandanda from Marseille this month to compete with Wayne Hennessy and veteran Julian Speroni.
Having started the opening six Premier League games last season, McCarthy played only once more in the whole campaign.
The 26-year-old held talks with Fulham on deadline day in February but a loan move fell through.
It is understood Cardiff's David Marshall is also being considered by newly-promoted Hull, who will be without McGregor until at least November.
The former Rangers goalkeeper featured on 44 occasions for the club during their Sky Bet Championship campaign last season but an injury to his back forced him to miss the play-offs and he must now have surgery to rectify the problem.
