Slovakia international Martin Skrtel has passed a medical with Fenerbahce ahead of his proposed move from Liverpool, the Turkish club have confirmed.
The 31-year-old defender, who had been at Anfield for eight-and-a-half years, passed a medical on Wednesday morning.
Skrtel has made 320 appearances for the Reds in eight seasons since joining them from Zenit St Petersburg in January 2008 but last term he appeared just 27 times in 63 games.
He played in all four matches for his country at Euro 2016, which included a 0-0 draw with England in the group stage, where Slovakia lost in the second round to Germany.
Prior to his £6m move to Liverpool in 2008, Skrtel played for four years in Russia with Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already made an addition to his defence ahead of the new season with Joel Matip joing the club on free transfer from Schalke.
Meanwhile, winger Jordon Ibe looks set to leave Anfield after agreeing personal terms with Bournemouth ahead of a £15m move, according to Sky sources.
