Lewis Hamilton will be put back in the spotlight by the FIA and attend Thursday's Drivers' Press Conference at the United States Grand Prix, according to Mercedes.
Hamilton's Snapchat antics during the Japanese GP session, as well as his criticism of the structure, dominated the Suzuka weekend and the Brit later snubbed two press briefings with the media due to their "disrespectful" coverage.
But Mercedes have confirmed not only will Hamilton take part in Thursday's FIA event in Austin, but also the separate post-qualifying and race motorhome meetings which he abandoned two weeks ago.
Hamilton defended his behaviour during the press conference in Suzuka, insisting his use of his phone throughout the session was "meant to be fun".
"Hey man, we've been doing this a long, long time and it's the same each time so got to keep adding new things to it," the world champion added when asked what he was doing on the mobile application Snapchat.
The British press weren't impressed, however, and slammed Hamilton for his conduct, adding the 31-year-old was in 'meltdown' following another race defeat to team-mate Nico Rosberg.
Hamilton trails the German by 33 points going into the US GP, the first of four races remaining in the 2016 season.
