McLaren will reveal their 2016 car - the MP4-31 - on Sunday February 21.
The Honda-powered car will then make its on-track debut the following day at the Circuit de Catalunya when the first of two pre-season tests commences on the outskirts of Barcelona.
Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso are confirmed as the team's driver line-up for 2016, with GP2 champion Stoffel Vandoorne taking over from Kevin Magnussen as the reserve driver.
McLaren will hope the MP4-31 and the 2016 Honda engine delivers a major step forward after the team slipped to ninth in the Constructors' Championship in 2015.
A difficult campaign saw Button and Alonso score just 27 points combined, with a best finish of fifth at the Hungarian GP.
