Having left sweltering Blackpool behind, The Darts Show podcast team reconvene in the virtual studio to reflect on a busy week and some huge news for the women's game.

The heat was too much for some so Michael Bridge has handed over presenter duties to Paul Prenderville, who is joined by former Matchplay champion Colin Lloyd to look back on nine days of tumultuous tungsten, preview the upcoming Super Series and reflect on the news of an expanded Women's Series.

Joining the duo for the ride are Peter Wright, the Blackpool champion who dials in for the now traditional champion's edition of the podcast, while Fallon Sherrock reflects on light at the end of the tunnel after a 2021 of boredom!

Peter Wright - after a few days for it all to settle in, Snakebite reveals the secrets to his Matchplay success and how he celebrated - spoiler alert, it involves a well-known chicken emporium and a cup of tea! There is more to it all though as Wright talks us through an emotional time for the family after his wife's back surgery and he has a warning for the rest of the field.

Fallon Sherrock - the Queen of the Palace makes a welcome return to the podcast as she reflects on the news that the PDC will be running a 12-tournament extended Women's Series of the coming months; after missing out on a return to Ally Pally last year that is top of her wish list and a debut at the Grand Slam too.

Colin Lloyd - as well as welcoming Wright to the exclusive champion's club, Lloydy has his say on those who impressed and those who did not on the Lancashire coast, plus he picks out a few names to watch when the Pro Tour gets underway.
