Debutant Rob Cross ended Michael van Gerwen's reign as World Darts Champion with a dramatic and thrilling sudden-death leg victory in the semi-finals.
The Englishman led for much of the semi-final and eventually finished off the defending champion in a sudden-death leg to claim a remarkable 6-5 victory.
Cross, in his first season as a professional, is amazingly now on the verge of a maiden world title.
Cross took advantage of uncharacteristically poor finishing from the Dutchman. Both players squandered opportunities to win the match before 'Voltage' held his nerve in the 11th leg of the deciding set.
