Six years ago Adrian Lewis and Gary Anderson met in the final of the World Championship in which 'Jackpot' threw a nine-darter in the opening exchanges. Was it the greatest set of darts ever?
The statistics were simply mind-boggling with five maximums between the pair as they went hammer and tongs on the Alexandra Palace oche.
After 'The Flying Scotsman' won the opening leg, the standard flew out of the darting orbit with Stoke thrower Lewis roaring back to win the next and then producing the holy grail of legs.
Lewis peaked at 134.38 three-dart average during the fourth leg of the set while Anderson's average was a mere 107.92 in an unforgettable four legs of arrows which even left 'The Voice of Darts' Sid Waddell is awe of what he was witnessing.
