Shivil Kaushik has caused something of a sensation in the Indian Premier League, with his - what can only be described as unorthodox - action.
Kaushik's bizarre left-arm action is reminiscent of the former South Africa spinner Paul Adams - whose bowling style was memorably described as a "frog in a blender."
The Gujarat Lions player made his debut on Friday, and he has been the talk of the competition since.
And his action was immediately saluted by Adams, who tweeted: "Remind you of someone?! Wow #Kaushik! Great to see the art of #Chinaman bowling alive."
He told local media that he has bowled the same way since he was eight, and so effective was he that his coaches resisted the temptation to teach him to bowl in a more orthodox manner.
"I was eight-years old when I started playing cricket and the first ball I bowled was this way and I have not changed," the spinner said.
"Batsmen found it a bit difficult because my action was a bit different. I got a lot of support from all my coaches. They've not tinkered my action and been backing me."
