After Pakistan ensured the Test series with England finished in a draw, Wasim Akram reviews the performances of the tourists' players.

Captain Misbah-ul-Haq was named as their player of the series, with leg-spinner Yasir Shah playing a major role in the side's victories at Lord's and the Oval. But not every member of the squad enjoyed such a fruitful tour.

Read on to see how Wasim rated the Pakistan players...

Sami Aslam - 8/10
167 runs @ 55.66 - two fifties

He really impressed me. Obviously, Pakistan having been grooming him from the Under-19s and he was very gutsy with the way he played.

Azhar Ali - 7/10
295 runs @ 42.14 - one hundred

He looks much fitter, leaner, hungrier and he was unlucky early on in the series but what I was impressed by was his attitude. He's leaner, it means his foot movement is much better.

Asad Shafiq - 8/10
274 runs @ 39.14 - one hundred, one fifty

For me, along with Yasir, he was definitely pick of the series for Pakistan. He batted well, with good technique and defended solidly. With his technique, I think he is the right choice for No 3.

Younus Khan - 9/10
340 runs @ 48.57 - one double hundred

He is a class player. 32 Test hundreds, six double hundreds and a triple century, the highest run scorer for Pakistan. He struggled early on in the series but he came back with a bang.

Misbah-ul-Haq - 9/10
282 runs @ 40.28 - one hundred, two fifties

He has been a lone ranger for the last six or seven years. Pakistan cricket went into turmoil five or six years ago, he took the reins and he's really led from the front. He's a true leader, makes good decisions, he's calm and that is what Pakistan need.

Iftikhar Ahmed - 6/10
Four runs @ 4.00
One wicket @ 13.00

We saw him for the first time at the Oval. He hasn't done much and played a silly shot to get out - that could be the nerves in front of a packed house at the Oval against the likes of Anderson, Broad and Finn. He has got room to improve.

Sarfraz Ahmed - 8/10
193 runs @ 32.16

Very gutsy again, right in the opposition's face and he thinks out of the box with the way he bats: sometimes outside of the crease, sometimes inside, he'll walk towards you - it doesn't matter how quick the bowler is. One of the best 'keepers in world cricket right now, too.

Yasir Shah - 9/10
19 wickets @ 40.73 - two five-wicket hauls

Image: Yasir Shah started and finished the series superbly

His first series outside the subcontinent and although he's got 90+ wickets now, he's only played 15 Tests. That's unbelievable. The way he bowled in the first Test match with 10 wickets, match-winner, man of the match... he didn't do too well in the next two Tests but this is the quality of him, he came back well when he was needed. The fourth innings at the Oval to draw the series, he got five-for. World cricket now knows who this guy is.

Wahab Riaz - 8/10
10 wickets @ 36.00

I like his attitude. He runs in every ball, gives it 100 per cent. He doesn't have many variations but he has one thing and that's pace - he knows it and he relies on it. He bowled beautifully at the Oval.

Mohammad Amir - 8/10
12 wickets @ 42.41

Image: Mohammad Amir took 12 wickets in his comeback series

A massive series for him. A 24-year-old boy coming back after six years, he made a mistake, he apologised and did his time. He's multi-talented, swings the ball and has got the pace. In another couple of months, he'll be back to his prime.

Sohail Khan - 8/10
13 wickets @ 25.00 - two five-wicket hauls

A surprise package, I suppose. He's almost 33 but he burst onto the scene in Pakistan in 2008. He swings the ball, he's very well suited to English conditions and the only thing he needs to improve is his bowling fitness, and that only comes with bowling.

Mohammad Hafeez - 4/10
102 runs @ 17.00

Image: Mohammad Hafeez struggled and was dropped for the final Test

He has been a big let down. Everybody knew he would struggle with his technique, he dropped catches and he's hard working - but it wasn't his series.

Shan Masood - 6/10
71 runs @ 17.75

He struggled against Anderson because he is the best bowler in the world. He needs to improve his technique, especially against this type of bowling. He's a gutsy player again, tries his best.

Rahat Ali - 7/10
Eight wickets @ 50.87

He bowled well, swung the ball early on and ran in every time he was needed. He's got to use his front arm though, he drops it early before the delivery which is where I think he loses pace.
