Ashton Agar believes Australia can exploit the uncertainty created by England's shock six-run defeat to Scotland in the forthcoming ODI series.
The No 1 ranked 50-over side were humbled in Edinburgh as Calum MacLeod hit a match-winning 140 not out.
England and Australia now turn their attention to a five-match series starting at the Oval on Wednesday and Agar thinks the tourists, who beat Middlesex by 101 runs in their final warm-up match, can take advantage of any dent to England's confidence.
"I think we've got momentum coming into these tours and to play a couple of practice games and get a couple of wins is great for us," Agar said.
"It was a really interesting game yesterday. It was good for us that England lost that game because you always like to start things off with a win.
"It was great for Scotland as a country and as a cricketing nation. It is very exciting for them, you could see how excited they were. It was a good game to watch."
Asked if the Scotland defeat exposed some cracks in England's bowling attack, Agar added: "Potentially. I didn't watch it as closely as I could have.
"At the end, England didn't really finish the job. They're a really dangerous side, though, and you can't ever take a side like that lightly. We need to bring our A-game and be ready to go."
Meanwhile, former vice-captain David Warner, who was banned for a year by Cricket Australia for his involvement in the ball-tampering scandal against South Africa, will join Nine Network's commentary team for the second match in Cardiff on Saturday.
"There probably hasn't really been a lot of talk about it," Agar said of Warner's decision to take up a commentary position.
"But personally I think it's a great thing for him to be back around cricket.
"He would have been hurt, and his family too. So for him to be back around the game he loves will be important."
