Legend, inspirational, larger than life - just some of the words used to describe Sir Ian Botham by those all-rounders who tried to follow in his footsteps.

Botham bagged 383 wickets and scored 5,200 runs in 102 Tests but his character and swagger were equally inspirational, epitomised by his heroics at Headingley in the 1981 Ashes.

That series spawned a generation of cricketers who wanted to be just like 'Beefy', including Dominic Cork, so we sent him to track down more former cricketers who tried to step into Botham's shoes and asked them for the memories of Sir Ian.
