Last season all eight franchises had an England international in their ranks and all-rounder Ben Stokes, the 2017 tournament's most valuable player, was bought for £1.4m by the Rajasthan Royals in this year's auction.

Stokes will be joined at the Royals by England team-mate Jos Buttler while Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali were both snapped up by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Jason Roy was signed by the Delhi Daredevils.
