Liam Plunkett to miss England's last two ODIs against Australia

By Declan Olley

Liam Plunkett has been ruled out of England's last two ODIs against Australia due to a hamstring injury and will be sidelined for 10 days.

The bowler picked up the left hamstring injury during England's 16-run victory over Australia in the third one-day international at the SCG on Sunday.

The Yorkshire seamer bowled just eight balls before being forced off the field as the tourists defended 302 to win the five-match series with two games to spare.

The 32-year-old is likely to return for England's T20 tri-series against Australia and New Zealand which starts on February 7.

England ODI and T20I captain Eoin Morgan said: "It's really unfortunate. Liam's going to be out for potentially 10 days and is going to stay with the squad in order to do his rehabilitation here with the backroom staff.

"It's great to still have him in and around; he's been a huge part of our last two years of progression as a team so we're potentially looking at the T20 series for when he'll come back."
