A training partner of Anthony Joshua's mandatory challenger, Joseph Parker, former kickboxer Ugonoh has won Africa and Oceania heavyweight titles as a boxer.

The athletic 29-year-old turned professional back in 2010 in the country of his birth - Poland - and fought there nine times. His recent run of six fights, which include first-round knockouts in his last two, have all taken place in New Zealand after Ugonoh turned to trainer Kevin Barry.

To go with his power, Ugonoh clearly has some footwork in his locker; he's recently appeared on Poland's version of Dancing With The Stars. He is already ranked by the WBO.

In 2009, 'Kaboom' Rivas turned professional under renowned Canadian promoter Yvon Michel and has since fought primarily in Montreal. In his 17th paid bout, he announced himself to American audiences with a thunderous knockout of Jason Pettaway.

Rivas' record ties in favourably with those of WBA Super and WBO champion Tyson Fury and European king Pulev; he took less than two rounds to stop common victim Joey Abell.

Factfile

Age: 25
From: Sundsvall, Sweden
Record: 15-0-KO11

When Joshua began training for his IBF world title shot at Charles Martin, his search for a high-class southpaw to spar with ended in the employment of Wallin.

The Swede turned to professional boxing in June 2013 and scored two quick-fire knockouts in Denmark before heading to Germany to continue the knockout-fest.

Wallin returned to his homeland for a trio of bouts - most recently stopping Irineu Beato Costa Junior in three rounds back in April. With his connections in the UK cemented by his stint in Joshua's camp, it won't be long before he'll be knocking on the door of 'the big time'.

Bogdan Dinu

Age: 29

Record: 15-0-KO11

After an amateur career that saw him pick up the bronze medal at the Junior World Amateurs in 2004, Dinu became a professional boxer in his hometown of Bucharest back in April 2008.

Another to have fought multiple times in Montreal, Dinu's heavy-handed style has earned him victory in several Prizefighter-like tournaments; most notably in Greece and Portugal.

A menacing presence, Dinu is expected to step up his pursuit of major titles in the coming year. Whether he can find viable and willing opponents to help raise his profile towards a world ranking remains to be seen.

Jun Long Zhang

Factfile

Age: 34
From: Qingdao, China
Record: 13-0-KO13

Already ranked by the WBA, China's knockout sensation cuts a colossal figure. Question marks over his conditioning in the lead-up to his bouts are rarely raised after them; the longest any of his opponents have lasted is less than five rounds.

One familiar name leaps off his record - American journeyman Jason Gavern. The popular Virginian was stopped in the third by Zhang. Five months later, Gavern was stopped in the third round again by current IBF world heavyweight champion Joshua.

With Zhang yet to fight outside of his homeland, drawing comparisons with world-class heavyweights is hard but doing so by comparing common victims reflects well; his last victory was a two-round demolition of George Arias, who previously took Pulev and Hughie Fury the distance.

Watch WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder v Chris Arreola on Saturday, Sky Sports 3 from 9pm.
