There are also countless challengers hoping to elevate themselves to lucrative fights this year, so let's see where Peter thinks they all rank...
10. Andy Ruiz Jr - 26-0-KO17
He was taken the distance by Raphael Zumbano Love in his last fight but the Mexican-born 26-year-old is still learning and remains unbeaten.
9. Hughie Fury - 18-0-KO10
I'm not just putting him in there because he's my son. I'm putting him in there because he's going to fight a genuine top 10 contender in March and I think he belongs there.
8. Kubrat Pulev - 22-1-KO12
Pulev fits into the top 10. He's shown some consistency over the years, has a solid all-round game and has only lost to Wladimir Klitschko.
7. Joseph Parker - 17-0-KO15
I like him. He's a promising fighter and is still an unknown quantity. We are going to see more of him and it'll be interesting to see how good he is.
6. Alexander Povetkin - 30-1-KO22
He's a very good fighter but his performance against Wladimir Klitschko was so one-sided. I don't think he can handle big men and that's why he's not nearer the top for me. He's the best of the small fighters, though.
5. Charles Martin 23-0-1-KO21
I like what I've seen of him. I like the way he looks like he's relaxed and I like the way he lets his punches go. I think there was only going to be one winner against Vyacheslav Glazkov and Martin must be taken seriously.
4. Luis Ortiz - 24-0-KO21
I think all the Americans will struggle with him and maybe even avoid him. When you look at it, he's mandatory for the WBA title so I think he'll be crowned champion when he knocks out the winner of Ruslan Chagaev v Lucas Browne.
3. Deontay Wilder - 36-0-KO35
Wilder can punch and you have to respect that. He wasn't that impressive against Artur Szpilka and I had him a couple of rounds down but he got the knockout and that's what matters. You have to respect him.
2. Wladimir Klitschko - 64-4-KO53
Wladimir reigned for 11 years and was such a good champion. I expect he'll do a little better in the rematch with Tyson but the best man won and that won't change.
1. Tyson Fury - 25-0-KO18
We are looking at all of them. He's already gone in the deep end and beaten Klitschko. We've got the rematch and it could be going either way. If we can get past that then we're on to the next big heavyweight people are talking about. It just depends on the public.
And Anthony Joshua?
I don't think he's top 10 at the moment - he has a way to go yet. He's at British level at the moment and that's no bad thing. If you look at where Tyson was when he won that British title in 2011 and look at where we are now, that's five years' difference. I think Joshua is about two years away from the top.
