Lawrence Okolie says it is a question of "when not if" he will knock out Luke Watkins and be crowned Commonwealth cruiserweight champion.

'The Sauce' challenges the unbeaten Swindon fighter in the headline fight in JD NXTGEN at York Hall, on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports.

Okolie expects it to be a harder test than his last fight against London rival Isaac Chamberlain and even though he thinks Watkins will show "championship heart and championship grit", he is predicting a knockout.

I am 100 per cent confident I will stop Watkins. As a person, I don't know him, or care about him, it's about winning the title against the champion.

"It depends on if he's made improvements - and I think every fighter makes improvements in camps - but if he has the same tendencies we've seen in previous camps, it'll be over in around five or six rounds," he told Sky Sports News.

"But if he shows his championship heart and championship grit then it could be over a little bit longer... 100 per cent.

"My main thing isn't to see if I can knock him out, it's when and if I take any damage on the way."

There is an action-packed NXTGEN including Lawrence Okolie, Luke Watkins, Reece Bellotti, Ted Cheeseman, Daniyar Yeleussinov and Felix Cash. Have a look at some of their best knockouts.

Okolie will be making only his ninth professional fight and has warned Watkins there would "no hype needed" once the champion agreed to put his title on the line in east London.

But following the 'British Beef' win over Isaac Chamberlain last time out, the Hackney challenger admits there could be some pre-fight fireworks at Tuesday's weigh-in.

Luke Watkins says that his fight against Lawrence Okolie on June 6 is an opportunity for him to raise his profile

"As we're getting closer to the fight, I am getting more and more confident," he said.

"I've been in training camp, have done the hard graft, we've got the weigh-in tomorrow then the big fight, training's done so there'll be a little bit of talking at the weigh-in, then on Wednesday, I will show him what I'm all about.

"Chamberlain is a good fighter but this is a step up in terms of mentality and because he's the champion, he is going to have different attributes but it should make this a more exciting fight.

"I didn't knock out Chamberlain but I am 100 per cent confident I will stop Watkins. As a person, I don't know him, or care about him, it's about winning the title against the champion.

"He has a lot of attributes as a champion; strength, size, speed and power but ultimately that won't be enough."

Watch Lawrence Okolie against Luke Watkins, along with a packed JD NXTGEN bill featuring Reece Bellotti, Ted Cheeseman, Daniyar Yeleussinov and more at York Hall on Wednesday from 7pm on Sky Sports Action.
