Dillian Whyte wants to make Lucas Browne pay for being a "big bully" when they meet in the ring.

The heavyweight rivals have been battling it out on social media and will now meet in the ring at The O2, London, on March 24, live on Sky Sports.

Whyte knows a WBC heavyweight 'silver' title win will move him a step closer to challenging Deontay Wilder but the 'Body Snatcher' wants to settle a score with unbeaten Australian Browne.

He's said a lot of controversial things on the internet so I want to get him in the ring and punish him. I am glad he's accepted this fight.

"Lucas Browne kept throwing things in the way to put the fight off, so it's good that he's finally manned-up and taken the fight," he told Sky Sports News.

"He's a dangerous opponent, former WBA 'Regular' champion, he is undefeated and has never tasted defeat before. He is a very deluded guy, so that makes him very dangerous.

"I met Lucas Browne a few years ago when Tyson Fury was fighting and I just didn't like the way he looked, his whole demeanour.

Dillian Whyte makes he return to the ring against Lucas Browne, live on Sky Sports.

Whyte is already the No 1 challenger to WBC world champion Wilder, but needs a final eliminator to secure a shot at the American.

The Londoner is keeping his options open and even if Anthony Joshua (IBF and WBA World) and Joseph Parker (WBO) are expected to meet in a unification fight, there is still the Browne's old title, the WBA 'Regular', which is now held by Manuel Char.

"It's up to Eddie Hearn now, to get this fight as a final eliminator to make me mandatory challenger for the WBC," he said.

"But there are other routes and other world champions I could target and after this fight I will be well and truly ready for a world title fight."
