Jorge Linares says his superior "experience" as a globe-trotting world champion will prove crucial in the WBA title fight with Luke Campbell.
The three-weight world title holder will defend his WBA lightweight belt against Campbell in the early hours of Sunday morning, at the Forum, Inglewood, live on Sky Sports.
'El Nino De Oro' - translated as the 'Golden Boy' - defeated Kevin Mitchell and holds two wins over Anthony Crolla in a 45-fight career which has seen him compete in four different continents.
The 32-year-old has recently based himself in David Haye's Vauxhall gym under head coach Ismael Salas, and believes such global schooling gives him the advantage over Campbell this weekend.
"My experience and my mentality for this fight is what sets me apart," said Linares.
"I have trained all over the world - from Japan, to Panama, to the UK. I have a well-rounded boxing curriculum.
"Since my loss to Antonio DeMarco at Staples Center I am a completely different fighter. I am ready more than ever to capture the fans here in the U.S."
Campbell suffered a shock first defeat to Yvan Mendy in 2015, but has since rebuilt with five-successive victories, including a knockout victory over former world champion Darleys Perez at Wembley Stadium in April.
The London 2012 Olympic gold medallist will be fighting in America for only the second time in his professional career, but Linares has vowed not to overlook the threat which the Hull fighter will bring on the night.
"Luke Campbell is a young hungry fighter, and that can be a critical difference in the ring," Linares said.
"Being a former Olympic fighter, the big lights and cameras won't scare him off and neither does being the 'underdog'.
"This is a great fight for me, I am the first Venezuelan boxer to headline an HBO show and it is a huge privilege.
"I hope that with this fight, I leave a big enough impression."
Watch Luke Campbell challenge Jorge Linares for the WBA lightweight title, live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Action, from 3am on Sunday.
