Carl Frampton's postponed homecoming fight has been cancelled, amid growing speculation that he and Barry McGuigan are going to split.
The Belfast favourite was supposed to take on Mexico's Andre Gutierrez at the SSE Arena on July 29, but it was called off with less than 24 hours' notice.
Frampton missed weight at the first attempt of asking, then Gutierrez sustained a facial injury after slipping in the shower in his hotel.
The fight was supposed to be a WBC featherweight world title eliminator and although Cyclone Promotions planned to "re-schedule" the fight, it is now officially off.
A statement read: "Since the unfortunate postponement of the fight between Carl Frampton and Andres Gutierrez on Saturday, July 29, 2017, Cyclone Promotions, The SSE Arena, Belfast, boxing authorities and relevant broadcasters have been working to agree a new date for the fight.
"Unfortunately a proposed date in November was unsuitable to all parties. It is therefore with regret that we are announcing the cancellation of this event.
"We are all profoundly disappointed for the fans, the boxers and those who have worked hard with and supported us on this event."
The confirmation has come on the back of growing speculation that Frampton and promoter McGuigan are about to part company.
McGuigan has been with 'The Jackal' from the start of his professional career, with son Shane McGuigan the trainer that helped him win two world titles.
