Billy Dib is confident that new trainer Robert Garcia will provide the best possible opportunity for him to once again become a world champion.
Former featherweight world champion Dib recently teamed up with Garcia and the pair will have their first fight working together on July 29 on the undercard to Adrien Broner's showdown with Mikey Garcia, Robert's brother, to be shown live on Sky Sports.
Remarkably, Garcia has orchestrated three of Dib's four career losses, all world title defeats, at the hands of Steve Luevano and Evgeny Gradovich twice.
'The Kid', 31, now a super-featherweight, is aware that time may not be on his side and wants to give himself the best possible chance of once again laying claim to a world title.
Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, Dib, said: "This is my first fight under Garcia and it's been an amazing experience so far, I needed to make the change.
"I made the move because it gives me the best opportunity to not just challenge for a world title but go on and win one. The depth of talent in the gym is simply phenomenal and I've had some of the best sparring already.
"Garcia has been in the opposite corner for three of my four defeats so if you can't beat them, join them. I believe he can guide me to another championship, I'm ranked number three in the world so am on the verge.
"Robert has always believed in my talent, but told me that I just needed to work on my defence a bit and we have dissected all the mistakes from scratch. We are ready to get the flow and juice working."
Dib has been training and living alongside Mikey Garcia ahead of their respective fights later this month and the Australian knows he cannot afford any slip ups come fight night.
"I am going to be fighting a decent Mexican kid and I certainly won't be underestimating him. If I don't prepare right then I know that it could spell disaster and may even lead to retirement.
"I know wholeheartedly that this is my last chance to mount a world title challenge so I'm taking it very seriously and have left no stone unturned.
"I have trained with Mikey and we have done everything together every single day. I'm ready to produce a performance that can open doors for me."
Watch Broner vs Garcia live from the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, from 1am, Sunday, July 30, on Sky Sports Action (Ch407).
