Kal Yafai wants Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp to accompany him to the ring on Saturday.
Blues supporter Yafai will make the first defence of his WBA super-lightweight championship against Suguru Muranaka in the home city of Birmingham on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 2 HD from 7.30pm.
He is keen to extend the feel-good factor after Redknapp not only guided City to survival on the final day of the Championship but has now agreed a one-year deal to stay at St Andews.
"Redknapp can have the best seat in the house," Yafai told Sky Sports. "He could do the ring walk!
"I know some football players will be there to watch it but Harry is, of course, more than welcome."
Fellow Birmingham fighter Sam Eggington is also in action on Saturday, and will fight Ceferino Rodriguez for the European welterweight championship.
Watch Kal Yafai vs Suguru Muranaka, Sam Eggington vs Ceferino Rodriguez, and Josh Kelly on this Saturday's Birmingham bill, from 7.30pm on Sky Sports 2.
