David Price is being considered as a possible opponent for new WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker.
The New Zealander secured the vacant WBO belt after a points win over Andy Ruiz Jr in December and his backers have already drawn up plans for a title defence on April 8, which could be against Price.
Parker's promoters, Duco Events, have confirmed that Price is one of the preferred fighters on their shortlist, because they are keen to showcase the unbeaten 24-year-old in Britain.
Craig Stanaway, Director of talent relations at Duco Events, told Sky Sports: "We are working with Bob Arum and are looking at a number of options.
"A British fighter is a favoured option as Joseph Parker is keen to fight in the UK."
Price has picked up two stoppage wins this year and would welcome a world title fight against Parker.
He tweeted: "Would love to fight @joeboxerparker in his 1st defence of @WorldBoxingOrg title hope it happens."
Top Rank's Bob Arum, who has entered into a co-promotional deal with Parker, has named New Yorker Jarrell Miller as another potential foe for the WBO champion.
Discussing Parker's title defence, Arum told Boxingtalk.com: "Either David Price or Jarrell Miller, and I'm looking forward to it."
