Reece Bellotti and Ted Cheeseman impress at Wembley Arena, while Jake Ball suffers shock defeat

Reece Bellotti and Ted Cheeseman picked up stoppage victories at Wembley Arena on Saturday night, but there was a shock defeat for Jake Ball.

Bellotti and Cheeseman remain undefeated as they overcame the stiffest tests of their careers to date, while Charlie Edwards also ended the year on a high as he bounced back from his September world title defeat.

Edwards took just three rounds to earn a stoppage victory over Goergi Georgiev, while Londoner Cheeseman moved to 7-0-KO6 as he quickly dispatched Brighton's Lloyd Ellett in the second round of their English super-welterweight title eliminator.

Bellotti took slightly longer to overcome Ian Bailey in their battle for the English featherweight title.The 25-year-old boxed well and took the fight to Bailey, who retired at the end of the seventh.

Elsewhere on the card, Craig 'Spider' Richards and Felix Cash both cruised to stoppage wins to remain undefeated, while debutant Danny Dignum and Chris Adaway also tasted victory.

The major upset on the undercard came as light-heavyweight Jake Ball was stopped by Ireland's JJ McDonagh in the first round of their WBA international title clash.
