Anthony Joshua would relish a clash with Luis Ortiz next year if he safely comes through the dual challenge of Eric Molina and Wladimir Klitschko.
Joshua (17-0-KO17) puts his unbeaten record on the line in front of the Sky Sports Box Office cameras on December 10, when American Molina (25-3-KO19) bids to wrest the IBF heavyweight belt away from him.
The former Olympic champion had hoped to be facing Klitschko, with his own belt and the WBA super title on the line, but an injury to the Ukraine great meant that bout having to be put off until early next year.
Before Joshua gets back into the ring, Ortiz (25-0-KO22) will make his European debut, when he takes on Malik Scott (38-2-1-KO13) on Saturday in a bout you can see live on Sky Sports from Monte Carlo.
And although Joshua is not taking his focus off preparations for the Molina fight, he admits he will be an interested spectator when 'King Kong' enters the ring this weekend.
Joshua told Sky Sports: "I see how that is going to unfold. That's another fight, for me, that is no problem.
"Hopefully I defeat Klitschko and then I can fight Luis Ortiz. I will be watching him for sure because he is a competitor in the division that I could face sooner or later, so I have to put him as a priority.
"If we fight Ortiz, it would be a good scrap because I like fighting southpaws. I've got a powerful right hand that I could whip into the body or straight to the head.
"It will be a good challenge and a good name to have on the record at some stage, but first let's focus on The Drummer Boy, Eric Molina."
