David Price wants to fight on the same card as Anthony Joshua in November and is happy to take on Joseph Parker, Dominic Breazeale or the world champion himself, says trainer Dave Coldwell.

The towering Liverpudlian heavyweight (20-3-KO17) is back on the world title trail after learning that both of his previous conquerors failed drug tests - and recently called for a clash with IBF king Joshua (17-0-KO17).

Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn appeared to pour cold water on the idea of Price being the Londoner's second challenger earlier in the week but regardless, Coldwell is keen for his man to stake his claim and would welcome a shot at mandatory challenger Parker (20-0-KO17).

Price took less than two rounds to restart his career

Coldwell told Sky Sports: "The more training we're getting, the better he's becoming and the more confident he is. By the time the Joshua fight does happen, I'll be very confident that Pricey knocks Joshua out. I'm confident as it is.

"If Pricey gets a big win under his belt then Eddie is saying he'll look at doing the fight. I've already said someone like Dominic Breazeale we'd be happy with. We watched Joshua v Breazeale live and I said to Pricey straight away that it'd be a fight that I'd love.

Hopefully we have a big fight in November on the Joshua bill - Parker, Breazeale or even Eric Molina.

"I think it's been whispered already about a possible fight with Parker and we've been up for that from day one. It's not like Pricey doesn't want to fight anybody.

"It seems the Parker team want the kid to fight. I like their attitude. They want him to be active. Everyone thinks they've just got to hit Pricey on the chin and they win, so they probably see him as an English name to build the Joshua fight. I don't think they're hesitating.

"The point about the Joshua thing was that they were struggling to get a November opponent and we said we'd take it now. If that doesn't happen, we'll carry on doing what we're doing and fight our eight-rounder first which we would have done anyway.

"After that, hopefully we have a big fight in November on the Joshua bill - Parker, Breazeale or even Eric Molina."

One man who has been calling for a clash with Price is Yorkshire's Dave Allen but Coldwell was dismissive of his fighter returning to domestic level.

He added: "I'm not being funny but by beating Dave Allen, how does it get Pricey closer to a world title shot?

"I'm not saying Allen isn't a talented fighter but he's not really done himself any justice in those three fights on Sky Sports. Pricey doesn't get anything out of beating him.

"Price has done all that domestic stuff before. Allen isn't going to get him further forward whereas a Breazeale or a Molina would do. All the other heavyweights have been active and I need Pricey to be active."

Price was last in action at Goodison Park in May when he took less than two rounds to stop Vaclav Pejsar (9-3-KO8).
