Former world champion Amir Khan is hoping to bounce back from his defeat to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez with three fights in 2017.

The Bolton fighter (31-4-KO19) was viciously knocked out by the Mexican in Las Vegas in May with the WBC middleweight title on the line and now seems likely to return to welterweight.

Khan said via social media: "Want to be back in the ring around January. Big fights next year. Who do you think? I'll be ready. #147lbs January, May, December. #3Fights #2017."

Khan, who previously held the WBA and IBF world super-lightweight titles, has been involved in a long-running war of words with IBF world welterweight Kell Brook.
