Stephen Smith will aim to rebound from his world title defeat on Tony Bellew’s undercard at Goodison Park, Eddie Hearn has confirmed.
The Liverpool super-featherweight will get a crack at the vacant WBC silver title against an unconfirmed opponent before Bellew headlines against Ilunga Makabu for the WBC world cruiserweight title.
"On the #BellewMakabu card delighted to confirm that @SwiftySmith will challenge for the @WBCBoxing silver super-featherweight title," promoter Hearn tweeted on Tuesday.
It will be Smith's first fight since he dropped a points decision against Jose Pedraza in Connecticut last month in pursuit of the IBF title.
Hearn also confirmed that heavyweight David Price will return to action in his home city, while Hosea Burton will defend his British title.
"@DavidPrice_1 will return to the ring fighting in Liverpool for the first time in almost three years," Hearn announced in a number of tweets.
"@HoseaBurton will defend his British light-heavyweight title against Liverpool's @Warriordodson.
"@SeanMasher gets a big chance against Italy's Pasquale Di Silvio for the WBA inter-continental lightweight title.
"Liverpool's @TomFarrell89 will face @kofiyates in an eliminator for the British super lightweight title."
