Floyd Mayweather is excited by the prospect of his fighter Badou Jack meeting James DeGale in a world title unification bout.
Jack retained his WBC super-middleweight crown via majority draw against Luciane Bute in Washington at the weekend while IBF champion DeGale edged out Rogelio Medina with a unanimous decision on the same bill.
That left the prospect of a high-profile clash between the pair a step closer and Jack's promoter, boxing legend 'Money' Mayweather, was enthusiastic over the idea of a September clash.
Mayweather told Sky Sports: "Badou is a gentleman. He's very respectful as an individual. I'm proud of him and I stand behind him. James DeGale is a very exciting fighter and also very explosive.
"Those two meet down the line in the unification bout some time in September. We have to take that to the UK. We have to.
"We look forward to coming over there and having a great relationship with everyone over in the UK and bringing championship boxing to the highest heights. If it makes money, it makes sense."
DeGale has not fought on British soil since November 2011, when he stopped Marco Antonio Periban in Liverpool before beating Andre Dirrell to the vacant world title in Boston.
