Kell Brook is relishing the prospect of an "old-fashioned war" against mandatory challenger Kevin Bizier on Saturday.
Sheffield's IBF world welterweight champion defends his crown in front of his home fans - live on Sky Sports - and hopes to meet the Canadian visitor in the centre of the ring and slug it out.
Brook (35-0-KO24) told Thursday's press conference: "I'm desperate for an old-fashioned war. I know Bizier is a strong come-forward fighter and I'm looking to excite everybody with an old-fashioned war.
"It's nearly been a year since I was back in the Sheffield Arena. I can't wait to get weighed in, get some 'scran' in me and get ready for fight night.
"Camp has gone unbelievably well. We missed out on celebrating birthdays and Christmas but my mind has been on the job in hand. We've done everything right.
"Saturday night it's about breaking Bizier's heart and then it's about breaking his bones. Saturday night. Here we go. I'm the IBF champion and I need to go out there and show everybody why I'm champion.
"I've got to look good in this fight. I believe I'm the best on the planet. I always find a way. This is me now. I'm 30 this year and I want to show the world I'm the best and that I'm ready for those big, big fights.
"It's what I was born for. In the dressing room, I'm hitting the pads and I can hear the fans. I walk down the tunnel and see the fans shouting my name. Walking to that ring, you feel invincible and it's about getting in there and enjoying the night."
Also on the card, Luke Campbell bids to get his career back on track when challenging Gary Sykes for the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title and David Allen meets experienced American heavyweight Jason Gavern.
