Tony Bellew says David Haye's respectful words were just an "act" as the British rivals were reunited at their first press conference.
The Merseysider will meet Haye again in a rematch at The O2 on December 17, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and there was no repeat of the angry scenes in front of the watching media, despite a few heated exchanges between the two heavyweights.
Haye insisted he had new-found respect for his opponent after suffering an 11th-round stoppage defeat in March, but Bellew says this humble approach from the former two-weight world champion was not genuine.
"I don't believe he respects me at all," Bellew told Sky Sports News. "This is an act, what he's doing now. He's doing a great job to be fair. He has said in the past he wants to be an actor, so he's just done a fantastic job on the stage. He's got my applause.
"He doesn't rate me as a fighter, I know. He actually slipped up halfway through there. He said he didn't underestimate me last time, so if he didn't underestimate me last time - he said I was the worst world champion ever. He said he was going to drill me to the floor within a couple of rounds."
Bellew has vowed to send Haye into retirement with a second victory and joked that the 36-year-old can pursue a career in wrestling.
"He will have nowhere to go after losing to me," said the former WBC cruiserweight champion. "He might reinvent himself again. He might even give something like wrestling a go, because he is a fantastic promoter of fights.
"He knows how to push a fight, but in regards to boxing, I will finish him on December 17."
